Activities & Extras
At Gold Country Pet Resort and Spa, we can pamper your pooch as much as you like. From walks and cuddles, to swimming and fetching, your beloved family member will feel right at home here. There are many extras available, and if you can’t come to us, we’ll send our own dog taxi service to collect your favorite canine!
Social Time
We know that social dogs benefit from time hanging out together while their people are away. We also recognize that not all dogs are social and safety is number one here at the resort. After a paid assessment of $25, if your dog is a good candidate, then they may enjoy a social hour with the other friendly pups staying at with us.
Fee: No charge once assessed.
Cuddle Time
Designed for the less active dog, this provides your dog with a staff member either visiting in their room or the office and just hanging out with your dog, doing what your dog loves to do…belly rubs? No problem! Ear scratches? no problem! This is to give your dog one on one time and is ideal for the less active dog.
Fee: $10 Per session per dog.
Walk
Have one of our staff members stroll through our rolling hills with your canine companion. An Excellent opportunity for your dog to forage through our turkey smells, bunny smell, and deer smells…all the things that dogs love about coming to our camp.
Fee: $10 Per session per dog.
Fetch Time
Does your dog love to retrieve? Have one of our staff members take your dog(s) into the play yard for one on one fetch time (families can participate as a group if you desire).
Fee: $10 per session per dog.
Swim Time
In case you haven’t heard all the ruckus, Gold Country now has a pool dedicated for the dogs! While you will see a lot of talk about our pool for Dock Dog Diving, it also serves our clients here at the boarding kennel. We now offer swim time for your pooch during their stay. Splash!
Fee: $15 per session per dog.
Agility
Let your dog take the walk up to our beautifully scenic agility field and try their skills (supervised of course, with the help of our expert staff) on our agility equipment. Agility is great for building confidence and giving them something to occupy their mind. From ladders to teeter totters to A-Frames to wobble boards…this is loads of fun for the dogs!
Fee: $15 per session per dog.

We can pick up or drop off your dog at your residence. Prices vary based on distance from our location – call for details. If you live outside these areas, call us for a price.

Starts at $30 per trip for the 1st dog; each additional dog is $15.00.
Rancho Murietta, Plymouth, Valley Springs/Burson, and Pine Grove
Starts at $40 per trip for the 1st dog; each additional dog is $20.
Pioneer (up to Buckhorn) and Lockwood
Starts at $50 per trip for the 1st dog; each additional dog is $25.

Join Us for a
Virtual Tour
We offer Live Virtual tours every weekly via “gotomeeting” (aka a Zoom type service). The video tour above shows our facility but we know you value being able to ensure that it is always in tip top shape. We do not do in person tours of our facility as we want to ensure our guests that are boarding here are not exposed to unnecessary stress. Every time a new person enters the area the dogs go on “alert”. We have always tried to provide a quiet facility (thus the limited pickup drop off hours), but one of the good things of 2020, is we learned we can do all things via virtual technology. Now, you can see real time the facility and speak with a staff person while they are giving you a tour. The tour is a “group” virtual tour, so we may want to interact with you privately via phone if you have concerns you don’t want to share with the group and that is fine, but we are happy to answer all questions. We feel this allows the balance of access to our facility without creating additional stress for our guests.
If you are not available on the tour date, we can allow you to view the most recent tour (all tours are recorded) upon request, we will post the link to the most recent tour.
