These are field trips to various community places/events to practice our obedience skills in real life situations. These are typically Friday (first or second Friday of the month depending on Facility events) but may occasionally move to another day to accommodate going to a specific event. We will typically move between Lodi, Galt, Rancho Cordova, Folsom, Amador. We will often go to a store such as Home Depot, Lowes, Tractor Supply.  All outings will be at dog friendly locations so that both service dog prospects and pet prospects may attend.

We also have regular trips to a patio Restaurant/coffee shop. It is so important to work on life skills, so like our store outings, these are designed to get us out of the facility and into the community so that our dogs can learn to settle during social interactions around other dogs. Make no mistake, while we are having a “social outing” we are training, so its very important for owners to learn how to maintain training even when not on the “training field”. The location of the outings will be posted in the online community within 7 days of the scheduled outing.
